Head out to the open ocean to meet two of the most beautiful shark species. The cobalt blue color of the Blue Shark and silver bluish color of the Mako shark will mesmerize you.
Blue Sharks are inquisitive and attentive to your every move. They are magnificently streamlined and can reach lenghts of up to 3.5 meters. The more elusive mako shark will dart in and out showing off its agility and speed which it uses to catch its prey. They are more robustly built than the Blues and can reach sizes of up to 4 meters and 700kg.
Itinerary
Meet at Simons Town pier at 06:30. After boarding the boat, checking the gear and receiving a safety and information briefing, leave for the open ocean 30 minutes later.
Arrive at the dive site at about 09:30. Chumming starts after the dive briefing.
Divers can either snorkel at the surface or qualified divers can descent to 5-8 meters once 5 or more sharks have shown up.
Dive time can be 60-120 minutes at 5 meters. The time at sea is based on shark activity and environmental conditions.
Arrive back at Simons Town pier between 14:00 and 17:00
