Your K3 Zipline experience begins just an hour from Cape Town, on the outskirts of Caledon along the N2. This is an exclusive, small‑capacity adventure, so from the moment you arrive at Base Camp you’ll feel the personal attention of our experienced guides. They’ll walk you through check‑in, gear, and safety essentials before you head into the mountains. If you’d like a boost for the journey, our onsite coffee shop offers takeaway drinks perfect for the ±60‑minute 4×4 ascent.

The trip up the mountain is an adventure of its own. You’ll travel roughly 7 km along a rugged trail, either in our custom‑built 20‑seater “Big Red” trailer or in one of our smaller 4×4 vehicles. Because you’ll be exposed to the elements and could spend a fair amount of time on the mountain depending on group size, comfortable clothing, proper shoes, and sun protection are highly recommended.

As you climb higher, the landscape opens into one of the most unique fynbos kingdoms in the region. Keep an eye out for antelope, lizards, and abundant birdlife. This mountain is also home to the world’s only known population of the critically endangered Rough Moss Frog—an incredibly rare amphibian found nowhere else. The higher you go, the more the Overberg reveals itself in sweeping, uninterrupted views.

At the peak, a short but steep walk brings you to The Nest, our intimate departure platform designed to blend naturally into the mountain. Here, your guide will run through the final safety briefing before sending each person off individually. Waiting times at the top vary by group size, and for safety reasons we never rush the process.

Once you’re clipped in, the real thrill begins. The K3 Zipline launches you into 3.2 km of pure speed—reaching between 120 and 150 km/h depending on your weight. The first stretch keeps you close to the mountainside, but within seconds the ground drops away until you’re soaring with roughly 500 meters of air beneath you. It’s an unmatched feeling of flight on the world’s longest zipline.

Just as you settle into the rush, Base Camp comes into view. Our landing team will guide you safely onto the platform, unclip your harness, and help you down the 12‑meter staircase—bringing your unforgettable K3 adventure to a smooth finish.
